It is where the pre-established dogma that we were taught must be put aside and look at the facts with constant questioning and scepticism. In a world, where you are told you got to believe in science, you know you are faced with dogma. You cannot believe in science you can only accept it as true if the facts tally with the theory and accept as probable truth until proven wrong. It is not about belief, but the constant search for the truth and questioning to check that it actually works. In investing, you can be right and use the right reasoning and yet end up losing money. Over the long run, the process is scientific will work and deliver the return, but over the short run luck or bad luck is a major fact.
